Stella Nova is a research project examining how mindfulness connects with storytelling. It is an ambient sound installation performing with people interaction - staging German literature in delightful soundscapes!
People are shifting away from fast-paced lifestyles to make room for self-reflection and inner peace. We want to explore this phenomenon with a social installation. Stella Nova is the metaphor of a genuine structure in which the participants are connected to each other as part of a collective consciousness to experience together the energy of a new beginning. This is triggered by interaction with the structure in which one can climb and relax. German literature from Herman Hesse or Rainer Maria Milke deal with mindfulness and are staged in ambient soundscapes!
Built to amaze, decelerate and restart.
Four glowing spheres attached to a galaxy of sparkling lights
Stella Nova connects people with literature & sound in a sparkling galaxy.
Stella Nova will be a prototype for future playgrounds.
As conceptual artists we are driven by creating meaningful installations with a purpose. Stella Nova is our first experiment to create interactive playgrounds. It is the combination of pedagogy and innovative technology with the aim of making education and leisure activities experienceable in a new context. To achieve this, traditional playgrounds are upgraded with specially developed tool kits and transformed into interactive places to play and learn. Through gamification, content is conveyed intuitively and promises sustainable learning experiences.
We collaborate with the German Children Rights Foundation (www.kinderrechteforum.org) and initiate workshops with kids to get their feedback of how a cool future playground should be.
We will need approximately 29.000 € to bring Stella Nova to Burning Man 2022.
We still need about 8.750 € to make our dream come true.
Our art project is a collaborative effort involving people from all over Germany and abroad. If you feel you would like to contribute to this project please reach out to us. We'd love to hear from you!
